It's been a long time. Almost six weeks now since I slipped on ice, on Boxing Day. For the last couple weeks I have been increasingly comfortable taking the boot off while lounging and sleeping. There is still a bruise on the bottom of my foot. Apparently It's normal, according to the surgeon. After X-Rays today the good news is in; I am full weight bearing now. Don't need the boot, and I can begin to try walking again, although It'll be a while before I can walk like a normal person. My hamstring or thigh, or whatever it's called, on the injured leg is flabby and small now. I get pain when I touch my injured foot down, from it not being used apparently. I hope i'll be able to bike and run in the spring. There are canoe trips to go on, people to mountain bike with and running to do, just because I can. Soon.
